FALCOM Saudi Equity Fund
The investment fund objectives of Saudi Equity Fund are to provide long-term capital appreciation and growth. This Fund offers investors the ability to participate in the growth opportunities offered by the Saudi Arabian economy. To achieve the Fund's objectives, the Fund Manager employs an active investment strategy and invests directly in equity securities that are Shariah-compliant and listed on the Tadawul in Saudi Arabia. Under normal market conditions, the Fund invests at least 90% of its net assets in Equity securities of companies that are Shariah-compliant, listed and traded on Tadawul in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. When choosing equity investments for this Fund, the manager applies a "bottom up," value-oriented, long-term approach, focusing on the market price of a company's securities relative to the Fund Manager's evaluation of the company's potential long-term (typically 5 years) earnings, asset value and cash flow potential. The Fund Manager also considers a company's price to earnings ratio, profit margins and liquidation value. In choosing investments, the Fund Manager strongly believes in onsite visits to issuers of prospective investments to assess critical factors such as management strength and local conditions. The Fund should be thought of as a long-term investment. When the Fund Manager believes market or economic conditions are unfavorable for investors, the Fund Manager may invest up to 100% of the Fund's assets in a temporary defensive manner by holding all or a substantial portion of its assets in cash, cash equivalents or other high quality short-term and medium-term investments. Temporary defensive investments generally may include short-term Murabaha.
